New Mayor and Council to be sworn in Monday

The new Prince George City Council will meet for the first time tomorrow (Monday) night.

New Mayor-elect Garth Frizzell and the rest of the new City Council were elected in last month’s municipal elections.

At tomorrow’s meeting, the new City Council will take their Oaths of Office, with some housekeeping work to be done.

In addition to receiving the official results from the election, the Acting Mayors schedule will be set. The Acting Mayor schedule rotates on monthly basis by alphabetic order.

Council will also have to make appointments to the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George Board.

The full agenda for tomorrow’s inaugural meeting can be found here.
