Snowfall warning issued for Highway 97 at the Pine Pass

10 to 15 centimeters of snow is expected to fall along Highway 97 at the Pine Pass in the next 24 hours.

According to Environment Canada, a front moving across the BC interior will spread heavy snow along the road.

Meteorologist, Trevor Smith says Prince George should be safe from the snow. “It’s up in the mountains and it should stay up there in the peace country. Up in the Pine Pass, they are looking at a nice chunk of snow today (Tuesday) with another shot this evening.”

Snow is expected to ease by Wednesday morning.

Be prepared to adjust your driving as visibility may be suddenly reduced.
