Tickets on sale for "AleFest"

If you are one to enjoy your craft beer then you will be excited to know that there is a craft beer tasting event coming to Prince George.

The Kiwanis AleFest will be in town early next year for a sampling of at least 40 different kinds of brews from micro-breweries all across the province including a couple of locals.

Alefest Chair Bjorn Butow says while the event aims to raise funds they want to do it in an entertaining fashion, with several different breweries all bringing at least 4 brews each.

“We’ve got 10 breweries that are coming up, and they represent a mix of new start-ups in the North, as well as some established breweries,” he says. “We’ve got Three Ranges coming in from Valemount, Wheelhouse coming in from Prince Rupert, Sherwood, a new brewery in Terrace.”

Alefest kicks off on January 31st at Two Rivers Art Gallery, and tickets are 55 dollars and only available on kiwanisalefest.ca.
