After trending upwards last year, the UNBC Timberwolves varsity soccer teams now know when they will be kicking off the 2019 Canada West season.
In men’s action, UNBC will begin the year on the road August 23rd and 24th in Kelowna against the UBC Okanagan Heat.
Last season, the T-Wolves finished 5-4-6 but missed the playoffs despite their best record since joining U-SPORTS.
The Timberwolves home opener is slated for August 30th against the Fraser Valley Cascades (UFV) at Masich Place Stadium.
The UNBC women begin play at home on September 5th against the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack.
The T-Wolves then finish off the regular season schedule on the road against the Victoria Vikes and UBC Thunderbirds
October 18th and 19th.
UNBC qualified for the playoffs for the second consecutive year last season and ended up winning their first playoff game in school history after defeating the Manitoba Bisons before falling to UBC.
They finished with a regular season record of 3-8-3.
