The Prince George Youth Baseball Association is hosting the 2019 BC Minor Baseball 15U AA Provincial Championship starting tomorrow at Nechako Park.
The Prince George Knights are the host team and one of 12 teams in the field.

According to sources, a major three-team trade was made ahead of the MLB Trade Deadline today involving the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, and San Diego Padres.
The Reds receive starting pitcher Trevor Bauer (from the Indians)
San Diego gets Taylor Trammell (from the Reds)
Cleveland acquires Yasiel (Yah-seal) Puig (Pweeg), Scott Moss, Franmil Reyes, Logan Allen, and Victor Nova.

Tennessee Smokies fell 6-5 to the Chatanooga Lookouts in AA action on Tuesday.
Jared Young of Prince George recorded one hit and two RBI’s to keep his batting average at .234 on the season.
Both teams wrap up their four-game series tonight (Wednesday).
The Smokies fall to 46-62 on the season and are the AA affiliate of the MLB’s Chicago Cubs.

The Prince George Cougars have added a few more scouts to the fold for the upcoming season.
The Cougars hired Leland Mack, Rob Rogers, Tim Mills, and David Reekie, along with familiar face Trevor Sprague.

Former PG Cougar Chase Witala will be playing in North America this season.
He signed a one-year contract with the Jacksonville Icemen of the ECHL who are affiliated with the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets.
Witala recorded 51 points last season playing in Germany.

Thomas recorded 125 catches last season amassing 1,405 yards and five touchdowns.
