Toronto Blue Jays  5  New York Yankees  4

The Jays have now won two in a row against the mighty Yanks.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s triple-hit at the bottom of the seventh inning pushed the Jays ahead, bringing in two runs.

The 49-71 Blue Jays now have won nine of their last 13 outings, and are 2-1 on a 10-game homestand.

The Jays and Pinstripes will be back on the diamond today at 10:07 a.m. PST.

Alexandr Pashin’s second goal of the game proved to be the winner as Russia defeated Canada on Saturday.

Rogers Cup (Toronto)

Canadian Bianca Andreescu held on for a 6-4, 7-6 (5) victory over Sofia Kenin of the United States on Saturday afternoon.

The 19-year-old will now face one of the greatest players of all time, Serena Williams, in the Rogers Cup final today.

Andreescu is the first Canadian to make the Rogers Cup women’s final in 50 years.
