Anyone who wants to go skiing this weekend in Prince George is in luck.
The ski hill is trying to build off a strong winter season last year after being open for 98 days.
Casey Johnson is on the Board of Directors who tells MyPGNow.com the ski hill will enjoy its earliest start in recent memory.
“It’s the earliest opening in the last ten years and we’re hoping for another big year with Mother Nature helping us out and the snowmaking that’s been going on the last two weeks.”
He adds avid skiers should have no shortage of opportunities during the winter season.
“We definitely have a chance of breaking over 100 days with the earlier start. Last year, we were open 98 days, the year before 103 days and before that we when didn’t have snowmaking we were only open 17 days so we should be able to crack 100 days because of the earlier hours.”
Johnson adds the hill will be open to the public at 9am every day, with night skiing open until 9:30 pm on most occasions.
