The City of Prince George is reminding residents of proper spring garbage collection etiquette.
Wildlife become more active as the weather starts to warm up, and PG citizens are encouraged to store garbage in a bear-secure location, such as a garage or shed.
Similarly, the public should remain aware of common bear attractants such as bird feeders, fruit, pet food and even uncleaned BBQs.
The City encourages residents to put trash into bags prior to placing it in a curbside bin to reduce the risk of garbage littering lawns and streets.
