Northern Development’s Regional Business Liaison (RBL) program encourages organizations to hire locally-based talent to provide business support for the region.
Today (Thursday) Northern Development has officially approved funding for 11 regional business liaison positions.
Regional Business Liaison positions have been approved for the following organizations:
- Community Futures Nadina
- Community Futures Cariboo Chilcotin Coast
- Community Futures Fraser Fort George
- Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako
- Community Futures North Cariboo
The organizations will be given 90 days to fill the positions, with Northern Development funding 100 percent of eligible expenses up to $75,000.
Funding comes as apart of a one-time offer meant to provide resources for small and medium-sized enterprises to use during COVID-19.
“[The funded position] is a powerful springboard for facilitating dialogues that will enhance communication, while identifying service gaps and how to fill them. It will allow businesses to access resources to redesign their businesses,” said Susan Stearns, General Manager for Community Futures Fraser Fort George.
