The (8-11-1) Vancouver Canucks host the (9-6-1) Winnipeg Jets tonight and Sunday at 7:00. The Canucks are 6th in the Canadian Division, but just three points out of second, although the teams ahead of Vancouver have multiple games in hand. Don Nachbaur of Prince George has been hired by the Tri-City Americans as the team’s new associate coach. He will work under head coach Kelly Buchberger. The 62-year-old Nachbaur returns to Tri-City after spending six seasons with the Americans as head coach between 2003 and 2009. Nachbaur is the WHL’s third-winningest regular-season head coach.
