2017 homicide in PG leads to jail time for local man

A Prince George man has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison in connection to a homicide in the VLA four years ago.

In Prince George Court yesterday (Wednesday), Christopher Clarke Prince was handed a lifetime firearms ban.

He was also charged with manslaughter in August of 2020.

In May of 2017, the PG RCMP were called during the early morning hours to the corner of Oak Street and Porter Avenue.

Officers found a then 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman suffering from serious injuries.

According to police, the male victim died in hospital while the woman was released shortly after.
