Prince George sees a dip in temperatures as we move towards fall

According to Environment Canada, the Prince George area saw some lower than normal temperatures.

“Prince George in the last few days has certainly seen a turn in the weather, lower temperatures have been noticed, down to the mid-teens on the 22nd for the daytime high, so about five or six degrees cooler than normal,” said Armel Castellan, Meteorologist with Environment Canada.

Castellan also noted a dip in temperatures for this week as well.

“On Tuesday, where the temperature started at 1.6 degrees, so about 5 degrees colder than the 7 degrees that is the climatological average low temperature for late August.”

He added that we should expect precipitation to continue into tonight (Thursday), and possibly into tomorrow, but to expect things to possibly dry out until after the long weekend.

“It is definitely that slow transition to fall, no enormous storms on the horizon, nothing really dramatic.”
