Category 2 and 3 open fire prohibition extended to October 28th

Category 2 and 3 fires will be prohibited in the Prince George Fire Centre a while longer.

The Prince George Fire Centre (PGFC) prohibited the two types of fires back in July, with the prohibition ending this upcoming Saturday. (October 15th.)

The PGFC has extended the prohibition to October 28th, or until the order is rescinded.

The prohibition was extended to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety due to the above-normal drought conditions across the PGFC.
