Seattle Thunderbirds: 5  vs  Prince George Cougars: 4

Two late goals weren’t enough for the Cougars to end Seattle’s unbeaten streak.

The Thunderbirds continue their dominant start to the campaign, now 9-0-0-0, while the Cougars slip under .500 again to 5-6-0-0.

Koehn Ziemmer scored two goals in the game, one with a second left in the third period. In 11 games, he has 9 goals and 10 assists for 19 points, which is good enough for second in league scoring, only trailing Connor Bedard.

Winnipeg ends an impressive 15-3 season with a win over the Lions in a mean-nothing game.

Nathan Rourke returned to the Lion’s lineup yesterday after a nasty ankle injury halfway through the season, playing part of the game and throwing 7/11.

He will need to be the difference maker in playoffs like he was in the early season when he was on pace to be a strong league MVP candidate.

The first game in playoffs will be on November 6th when the Lions host the Stampeders in the 2 vs 3 western semi-finals.
