With all attention on the Prince George Cougars and their new ownership group, what effect if any will it have on the Spruce Kings next season?
GM Mike Hawes says it will only help his team.
Hawes says in the past both teams have worked together to minimize scheduling games on the same night and expects that cooperation to continue.
Last year the Spruce Kings averaged over 1,100 fans per game compared to just under 1,700 for the Cougars.
