The search for a missing teen along the Fraser River will resume today.
Prince George RCMP and Search and Rescue will be using a jet boat to locate a missing 15 year old boy who fell into the river near Hudson’s Bay Slough yesterday.
Search Manager Dave Merritt says the call came in at four pm when the boy and his friend were swimming near the slough.
“At that point we activated our swift water team, we were able to get a helicopter in the air to fly between Hixon and Prince George two or three times,” says Merritt, “we were able to get two jet boats out on the river and we were able to get 19 people searching banks as well.”
The missing boy is Caucasian, 5’5″, 120 pounds with short blond hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans, gold and black DC running shoes and a black t-shirt.
Anyone who sees the boy, or knows any information is asked to call RCMP.
