Sports according to Will as of 8:00am

WHL

Prince George Cougars: 9  vs  Kamloops Blazers: 2

The franchise-record point streak is up to 18 games.

13 Cougars found the scoresheet in Kamloops’ home closer last night, including Ondrej Becher who had a hat trick and an assist to lead the way.

The Cougars’ record now sits at 48-15-1-3, breaking the 100 point mark in the standings for the first time in franchise history.

Coupled with a Portland overtime loss to Tri-City, the Cougars are one win away from securing first place in the western conference for the first time in the team’s 30 year history.

They will fight for that win tonight in the CN Centre in front of a sold out crowd, once again against the Kamloops Blazers.

BCHL

Vernon Vipers: 1  vs  Prince George Spruce Kings: 0

I sincerely feel bad for you if you showed up late to the game.

The only goal was scored by Adam Csabi, 56 seconds into the first period.

PG outshot Vernon 34-16.

The Spruce Kings are now in last in the Interior Division by 10 points, they close out the regular season with another home game against Vernon tonight.

The Jets and Islanders get things started at 10:00, the Oilers and Leafs play at 4:00 and the Flames are in Vancouver at 7:00.
