Timberwolves soccer teams drop road games

The UNBC Timberwolves men’s soccer team fell to 0-3 after a tough 2-1 road loss against the UBCO Heat in Kelowna last night (Fri).

The scoring got underway in the 30th minute courtesy of Jeevin Kang to put UBCO up by one at halftime.

UNBC tied it up in the 74th minute from Matt Jubinville who scored his 3rd of the season.

UBCO responded shortly after making it 2-1 in the 75th minute after Jadan Wong put the Heat ahead 2-1.

The Timberwolves play game two tonight at 6pm against the Heat.

On the women’s side the Lady Timberwolves fell 6-0 to the Victoria Vikings last night (Fri).

The Vikes jumped out to a 4-0 half time lead thanks to goals from Stephanie Badilla, Emily Lieuwen, Caitlin Milham and Kiara Kilbey.

The home team added to it’s lead in the second half with a pair of goals from Teresa Anania in the 51st and 53rd minute.

The Lady Timberwolves drop to 0-3 and play the 9th ranked UBC Thunderbirds tonight in Vancouver at 7pm.
