A call to Prince George’s City Council has been answered … 24 years later.
The group “Concerned Citizens of North Nechako Road” pressed city council Monday night for a bike lane from Foothills Bvld. to the city limits, saying they had been coming to council with their concerns over the state of the road since 1990. Council unanimously supported moving $755,000 from the road rehabilitation budget.
Concerned Citizens spokesperson Phil Mullins says the bike lane will make it easier for non motor vehicles to get around the city.
The money that was moved would have gone to road projects this year, but have been pushed back to 2015. Concerned Citizens of North Nechako Road presented council with a petition of 1,304 signatures.
