Cougars to recognize local heroes

Local heroes will be recognized during Friday’s Prince George Cougars game against the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Vice-President of Business, Andy Beesley says the event will honour those who fly under the radar.

“Everybody know there is plenty of heroes like the military, ambulance drivers and so on but we also want honour some of the lesser known heroes in everyday life that don’t always get the credit.”

It also ties in with the 50th anniversary of the BC Provincial Employees Community Service Fund.

Special ticket pricing will be in effect for groups 10 or more.

All BC Division teams are taking part in the initiative.
