Northern BC isn’t out of the woods yet, as moderate to strong winds are forecast to continue through the weekend.
According to Environment Canada, the wind is due to another strong low-pressure system approaching the B.C. coast today (Saturday), bringing a prolonged period of southeasterly winds with gusts ranging from 60 to 80 km/h across the B.C. Interior, strengthening later this afternoon, peaking Sunday morning.
Winds will then ease slightly before an incoming cold front brings a strong push of southwesterly winds, with gusts potentially reaching 90 km/h early Sunday afternoon for western regions, and is expected to ease Sunday evening.
