WBB: Timberwolves Start Strong, but Vikes pull away in second half

A balanced attack from Avery Geddes, Adelle Bergman, Makena Anderson and Bella Graves spoiled what was a fantastic road start for the UNBC Timberwolves.

All four players recorded 14 points or more for the Victoria Vikes in a 75-53 comeback win on Friday down in the provincial capital.

Geddes played every minute for Victoria hooping 15 points and eight rebounds.

UNBC got off to a fast start leading 28-16 after the first quarter. However, the Vikes outscored the T-Wolves 59-25 the rest of the way.

Bergaman went 7-for-18 for Victoria who improved to 1-2 on the season.

Viktoriia Filatova led the way offensively for UNBC in defeat with 19 points. Hazel Phillips provided some scoring support with 14 points.

UNBC drops to 0-3 with the rematch set for tonight at 5pm.
