Amani heads to Iceland

Former UNBC men’s soccer player Sourosh Amani has signed a professional contract with a European club team (BI/Bolungarvik) in Iceland. Amani (originally from the Netherlands) is the first UNBC Timberwolves alumni from any sport to go on and play professionally after their university career. He suited up for the T-wolves in the fall of 2012 but his career in green and gold was cut short due to a serious injury (fractured fibula and tibia following a collision with an opposing goalkeeper).
