PG Kodiaks are fifth in U-18 Boys at nationals

The Prince George Kodiaks U-18 Red Boys reached the quarter-finals of Tier One Division one before being eliminated at the volleyball club nationals (14 to 18-year-olds) in Edmonton.

They ended up tied for fifth place and had the most successful result of the 13 teams from the PG Youth Volleyball Club that competed.

The PG U-15 Red Girls were eliminated by BCIV of Vancouver 2-0 in the quarter-finals of Tier Three Division one to finish 21st.

There were a total of 160 teams in U-15 Girls.

“We had a tough weekend but we played well,” said Cam Young, who coached the U-15 Red Girls to a bronze medal at the volleyball club provincials last month in Abbotsford.

Overall there were 864 teams that participated in 24 divisions.
