UPDATED – 10:30AM:
Canada West has made the decision to postpone UNBC’s home opener for men’s soccer.
This is due to the poor air quality hovering over the Northern capital as the BC Air Quality Index has placed a hazardous rating with a very high health risk.
The smoke is expected to last the entire weekend despite some rain in the forecast.
UNBC was set to play the Victoria Vikes at the newly renovated Masich Place Friday and Saturday.
The games will be played at a later date.
Due to continued air quality concerns in Prince George, this weekend’s MSOC matchups between the @uvicvikes & @UNBCATHLETICS have been postponed until a later date.
