Kodiaks fall to BCFC’s top team

The Prince George Kodiaks are back in the loss column, following a 62-10 schneidering at the hands of the Langley Rams Saturday night.

The struggles started early for the Kodiaks, who turned over the ball on a fumble on their first offensive play, and followed it up with a Toby Plett interception on the second play of their next offensive series.

The Kodiaks found some scoring in the second quarter, but it wasn’t the offense putting up the points.

A short drive set up a 40-yard Maxim Murphy field goal, while a Sawyer Sontesby fumble recovery touchdown briefly tied the game at 10-10.

After that, it was all Langley, as the BCFC’s top team piled on the points for the rest of the game.

The BCFC standings are here.

The Kodiaks will have a bye week, before travelling to play the Westshore Rebels (3-2) on September 12.

The full Kodiaks schedule is here.
