The season for the UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team came to a screeching halt on Saturday, falling to the top-ranked Alberta Golden Bears in Canada West playoff action 80-41.
The T-Wolves trailed the entire game and were unable to stop the Bears potent offensive attack getting outscored 25-5 in the third quarter.
Alberta sweep the best-of-three quarter final series 2-0.
Brody Clarke led the Golden Bears with 21 points on the afternoon.

Marcus MacKay netted 10 points for UNBC in his final Canada West game.
Alberta shot 42% on field goals compared to the Timberwolves 28%.
