COVID-19 outbreak declared at UHNBC Rehab Unit

A single case of COVID-19 in a patient has prompted a third outbreak declaration at the University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George.

Northern Health declared the outbreak on the rehab unit today (Tuesday).

Monitoring and testing is underway to identify any additional cases.

NH public health recommends any recently-discharged clients self-monitor for COVID 19 symptoms, and to seek testing if symptoms develop.

Public health officials continue to actively monitor and follow up all laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 among staff and patients at University Hospital of Northern BC.
