Big Brothers, Big Sisters of PG are launching their summer fund raiser today outside our studios (1940 3rd Ave) until 6 this evening.
Executive Director Tim Bennett says tickets in their “Live Free for One Year” raffle are $20.
“Grand prize is; $12,000 cash, $5200 in Save on Foods gift cards, $2500 in gas cards and airfare for two anywhere Westjet flies.” Bennet said
“If we sell out it’s going to be just shy of $100,000 that we will be able to invest back into our programming. We saw 24% last year in the number of kids we served, and we are hoping to not only maintain that, but more growth in 2015.”
Bennett says they are hoping for a 10% bump this year.
Tickets are available for purchase until 6pm at the Vista Radio studios, if you can’t make it down today they are also available at the BBBS office (777 Kinsemen Place), Integris Credit Union and Central Builders all summer.
