PG Cougars release Kaeson Fisher amid roster retool

The early-season roster shuffle for the Prince George Cougars has claimed another victim.

Over the weekend, the WHL club released 19-year-old blueliner Kaeson Fisher.

PG acquired him prior to last year’s trade deadline from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for a sixth-round pick in 2027.

In 18 games last season with the Cougars, he tallied six assists while appearing in nine playoff games.

To start 2026-27, Fisher was held pointless in three games. He has previous junior experience with the Winkler Flyers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

PG is back in action Tuesday and Wednesday when they welcome the Vancouver Giants to CN Centre.

On Friday, the Cougars dealt Aiden Foster to the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for four draft picks.

PG also released import and overage goalie Alex Levshyn, who recently signed with the BCHL’s Spruce Grove Saints.

The Cougars also picked up overage defenseman Kolten Bridgeman and 19-year-old forward Kash Andresen from the Regina Pats and Moose Jaw Warriors in separate deals.

Puck drop for both games is 7pm.
